I am not going to lie, it’s been a tough couple of weeks. My husband and I have been trying to re-adjust back to life—back to our normal routine—but no matter how much we try, we never seem to get back there…

The other day I found myself looking at the past, thinking about how much everything has changed…how much I’ve changed. A big part of it, I believe, is obviously due to maturity. As you get older and mature, you start to realize that what you once thought of as important really wasn’t, and what you once gave little value to is actually what truly matters.
Last week I had the honor of attending a dinner with my Guerlain team here in Guatemala and Eduardo Jimenez, one of Guerlain’s International Makeup Artists who was in town for a few days. As usual, we had a great time talking about the brand we all love, its legacy and the new men’s fragrance, L'Homme Ideal—which, I have to tell you, is absolutely amazing! It’s totally different from anything in the market, and truly is he ideal fragrance for every man. (My husband says it’s the best he has ever owned. And I agree.)

How was everyone’s long weekend? Ours was fantastic! Regardless of what your plans were, I hope you spent time soaking in the sun, taking full advantage of the weekend.
My husband and I were so excited to attend the “Perfect Serve” dinner at Clio’s on July 29th that I anxiously left the house and completely forgot to take my camera with me (sorry, guys!). Those who have worked with me know that when it comes to pictures for the blog, I always, always ask that they be taken with real cameras, but in this case of emergency, I had nothing else to rely on but my iPhone. So believe me when I say that these pictures do not do justice for how amazing our dinner was.
