Here we are again, saying good-bye to yet another year. I have to say, 2012 was a good year for me. It was a year of big revelations. I learned so much, achieved so much, that saying I'm thankful is an understatement. Just being able to travel for an entire month, the way my husband and I recently did, is a blessing many probably take for granted...but not me. This trip was a result of a year of hard work, dedication and extensive planning (and saving!). It is solid proof that if you work really, really, hard anything is indeed possible.

Hi everyone, I hope you had a very blessed Christmas. Who's ready for New Years? As you know, my husband loves to cook, so it was crucial for us to schedule a couple cooking classes throughout our trip; the first in Paris and the second in Thailand - cuisines we both love and cannot get enough of lately. Plus, I'm terrible in the kitchen, so attending few cooking classes wasn't a bad idea, after all.

Hi everyone, I know it's been a while since I've posted. Our internet connection in Con Dao, Vietnam was so unexpectedly slow that I wasn't able to even open the blog. Truth is, it was quite nice to disconnect for a while. The place was so beautiful, so isolated (my favorite of all we visited), that having that week all for ourselves was a real treat. Just what we needed at the end of a month-long vacation. (I'll be posting pictures later!)

Hello ladies! Time flies when you are having fun, right? Or working really hard AND having fun! With only a bit more than a week to go, it is time to seriously start (thinking about) decorating for Christmas. For me, that means lot's of Santa drawings around the house, a Christmas star and snowmen made by my sons on our "Christmas tree" - not a traditional Christmas tree (I don't like them particularly…so I rather decorate a different tree).

If you’ve been wondering what’s been keeping my posts so sporadic lately, I’m glad to tell you that the wait is finally over. Let me introduce you to our baby: FRESKO FINE FOOD MARKET. Our goal is to provide healthy, organic and gourmet products (very much needed in Guatemala!) all under one roof. Here, you will find a wide variety of products for specific diets (gluten free, soy free, sugar free) and the most complete line of USDA certified organic products from Tree of Life.

Hello ladies! Recently, I received an email with a home that I loved at first sight: Jenna Lyons' brownstone in New York. Jenna is J. Crew's bright and charming creative director and president, and her home has been featured in many décor magazines along the years (I hope you haven't seen it yet!).

You might guess that her personal style would be right in sync with the classic American clothier, where every wristwatch is set to “timeless”. But Lyons, turns out, has a quirky, vivacious side!

Here in Phuket we've done a lot of relaxing...and eating. I don't think I've ever eaten so much noodles, Phad Thai and sticky rice (with mango) in my life. The food here is so incredibly delicious (although sometimes, a wee bit spicy) that it's hard not to try everything in the menu. Trust me, I have 2 extra pounds to prove it and we still have a number of days to go!

Although visiting Paris and Bangkok was absolutely magical and fantastic, I have to say that I haven't felt "on vacation" until we arrived in Phuket 3 days ago. Being near the ocean relaxes me and helps me forget of all the stress and problems that await us back home. I finally feel detached from the hectic "city life" and have given in to a more laid-back island lifestyle - at least for a week.

So far, Thailand has been amazing! The Thai hospitality really has to be one of the best in the world. Everyone is so nice, warm and welcoming, you never want to leave. Our second day in Bangkok was a hectic one. Since Bangkok is a very busy city, getting around can be pretty overwhelming - particularly when it's 90 degrees and extremely humid outside. In order to avoid any inconvenience, my husband and I booked a personal driver through our hotel to take us around the "must-see" temples within the city.

Hello ladies! Time is not going by quickly - it is flying! I cannot believe we are on our way to the ending of 2012 already. And I still have soooo much to do, it's stressing me out! As a result, I am running around like a little headless chicken, trying to finish all my projects before we celebrate Christmas and....our wedding!
