I've been reading a lot of people saying they found the Oscar's this year quite boring. I particularly liked it! I thought a lot of the awards given were well deserved, the hosts did a good job (even though James Franco was a bit too serious), and the performances were okay, except for G. Paltrow...I do not like her voice at all. There, I said it!
Here are some more French- inspired decor to get inspired by! Lately, I've been obsessing about it...don't you girls just love it? There's something so chic and so fabulous about it, I simply can't get enough!
To my fellow Guatemalans, on March 3rd at 7:00PM there will be a fundraising event happening at Casa del Te (in the Aurora Zoo) benefiting FunSEPA and Rozas Botran Foundation. There will be an amazing car showing by Audi, a bridal runway show by Rosa Clara (with jewelry provided by the awsome jewelry store C'Santos) and much, much more!
It's simply something you cannot miss! For more information please read the flyer below. Space is limited, so hurry!
So, my gorgeous (and fabulous) sister-in-law is getting married this November (one day before our wedding anniversary- I suspect we'll be planning MANY anniversary trips together!) and has asked me to be her Maid-of-Honor. I was, obviously, super excited, and even more emotional for I've never been in any wedding before, and clearly said yes!
Going back to decorating mode, here is a picture of our current living room. The furniture is all French (Provence Area) - Inspired, with a modern touch. We still have to paint the walls, hang our paintings, buy a rug (there is a 180-year old one I have my eye on - FABULOUS!) other side tables, lamps and such. We also have the TV there for now, but it will be moved into the family room once we start buying the furniture that will go in there...Hope you ladies like it. I will post pictures of everything once we are finished. So stay tuned!
So ladies (and gentlewomen, hehe), as I've told you, the hubby bought the furniture we had chosen for our dining and living rooms on Valentine's Day (YAAAY, I have the best hubby - ever!). So to keep you in the loop, here is a picture of our dining room as is right now...
We still have to paint the walls, hang our enormous paintings (we used to live in a loft in Boston, so our paintings are HUGE), buy the rugs, etc, etc...so please don't judge as of YET!! Give me a few more weeks..hehe...
...I have not forgotten about you! Our cable company STILL hasn't come to install the internet, so that's why the blog has been kind of dead these past few days. Things here in Guatemala run very, very slowly, and they have no sence of time whatsoever, so when they say it should take about a week, expect it to take AT LEAST two!
