Best Dressed - Oscars 2013

Who watched the Oscars last night? Well, I can FINALLY say that I did!! Luckily, I was able to get home just in time to watch it from start to finish (good Lord, was it a long show!). I'll admit, though, I completely missed the red carpet coverage. So I can't say that I saw too much of the fashion- only of those who appeared throughout the show (thus the reason for my short list!).

I hear a lot of people are critizing Seth MacFarlane but, in all honesty, I had quite a few laughs and really enjoyed the music numbers (especially the "boob" one). I thought he did a much better job than last year's host, Billy Crystal. But seriously, when was the last time everyone approved of the Academy's choice of host? It seems like the public simply can't be satisfied- ever.

Personally, I thought this year had a lot of great movies and an impressive amount of raw talent. I could not choose which actor I liked most, nor which motion picture deserved to win....everything was just marvelous! The decision could not have been harder. Like Meryl Streep said, it must have been a hell of a difficult task to choose the best among equals.

But anyway, off to what you're here to see: my best dressed list for Hollywood's biggest night!

1. Charlize Theron in Dior Haute Couture. My God, could this woman be EVEN more beautiful? I have a total girl crush on her. This Dior dress fit like a glove (what is that body!!), the silhouette was stunning and she looked like THE picture of class and elegance. My favorite of the night, hands down!

2. Naomi Watts in Armani Privé. Another beautiful woman whom almost never disappoints me. She looked understated but incredibly chic and modern with this dress. The neckline is gorgeous and the jewelry was just perfect.

3. Jennifer Garner in Gucci. I loved this dress and color on her. The simplicity of the front complemented the fabulousness of the back perfectly!

4. Jennifer Lawrence in Dior Haute Couture. This was Jennifer Lawrence's year, for sure. I absolutely adore her. And although I think she could have done a little better with her choice of dress (I can't imagine the number of designers begging to dress her!), I still liked the (ivory?), drop-waist Dior she chose. It wasn't my favorite, I think she's worn better pieces (like the one she wore for the Vanity Fair afterparty), but it was okay. The back was a lot more interesting than the front.

On another note, I am still undecided on Anne Hathaway's Prada gown. It was simple, elegant but a little...blah. The Tiffany necklace, though....FABULOUS!

(Oh, and what on earth is wrong with Kristen Stewart? She always looks if she's on drugs!)

How about you, which ones were your favorites?
